This heraldic shield tree decoration has been inspired by the Royal emblems of England and features lions and fleurs de lis. Lions have been used in Royal English heraldry since Norman times and heraldic shields usually featured two lions throughout the 12th century. The fleurs de lis was added to the Royal Arms of England after King Edward III laid claim to the throne of France. From the St. Nicolas Heritage and Christmas Decoration collection. All decorations are handmade, and the time taken to make each one is reflected in their unique quality. Slight variations in colour, texture and finish may occur. Measures approximately 5 inches in height, excluding hanger. St. Nicolas is proud to be a member of BAFTS (British Association of Fair Trade Suppliers) and supports the 10 Principles of Fair Trade, as set out by the World Fair Trade Organisation.
